Meet our Priest and Staff
The Rev. Dr. Julianne Hanavan
Our Rector, Rev. Julie, was born and raised in Delaware and received her bachelor's degree from Boston College and her PhD in Modern European History from UMass Amherst. An educator, she most recently served as Brown University's Director of Research Ethics Policy prior to beginning her studies and training for the priesthood. Julie is married and the mother of five adult children, and grandmother of four. She was ordained to the Transitional Diaconate in December 2017 and to the Priesthood on June 23, 2018.

Richard Spicer, Organist and Choir Director
Rich holds a Master's degree in Music from Duke University, with a focus on early music performance practice and harpsichord study, and a Master's degree in American Studies from Boston University, with a emphasis on music history in early America. Rich has enjoyed many years as a choral singer, beginning with the Barrington Boys' Choir, and continuing with such groups as the Compline Choir at Seattle's St. Mark's Cathedral; and the American Vocal Ensemble and the Washington Bach Consort in Washington, D.C. Currently he is a member of the Providence Singers.
