Baptisms
The service of Holy Baptism is offered to anyone who desires to become a member of the Household of Faith in the Christian tradition. It is usually integrated into our Sunday morning worship, so that the newly baptized and their families can begin their spiritual journeys with the support of the congregation. |
Weddings
Weddings are joyous occasions and All Saints' is a spectacular setting for them. The church is available for all couples who desire to be united in marriage. In supporting such, we hope that couples who are not yet members will become members of All Saints' and join our church family, as well as be familiar with the Service of Marriage as found in the Book of Common Prayer.
At its regularly scheduled meeting of June 27, 2013, the Vestry voted on and approved the following resolution:
"Whereas the Witnessing and Blessing of a Lifelong Covenant is the authorized rite for same-sex couples seeking to be married in accordance with Rhode Island State Law, and with authorization by the Rt. Rev. W. Nicholas Knisely, Bishop of Rhode Island, we the Vestry and Clergy of All Saints' Memorial Church hereby resolve:
That same-sex marriages may be witnessed and blessed in this Church provided that the same regimen of "pre-marital preparation" currently required of heterosexual couples is followed, and; That the Clergy having been satisfied with said preparation are willing to officiate at the marriage of the same-sex couple seeking the blessing of the Church."

Funerals and Memorial Services
Like Jesus, we weep when one of our brothers or sisters is taken from us. Our hope is in the Resurrection, as we pray, remember, and say our earthly goodbyes.
